The only difference between being a regular driver and an unwitting getaway driver? A locked car door.

One very lucky motorist discovered the importance of locking all your car doors upon leaving the driveway, nearly winding up a random guy’s getaway driver in a police chase gone wrong.

Though it remains unknown what this guy did to piss off the fuzz, it was a matter of life or jail, the man bobbing through traffic in an attempt to get away from the cops.

“Oh no, I’m keeping my s—t locked!” the driver screamed as the potential perp yanked on her car door.

After realizing he could not singlehandedly reboot Driving Miss Daisy in his hot pursuit, the purported criminal changed course, weaving through cars yet again.

Unfortunately for him, this decision was a bad one, a cop quickly tackling him down to the asphalt.

“Oh, s—t!” yelled the driver before lamenting that she would be “late for work.”

Though we may never know if the woman made it into the office on time, we can be sure she’ll never forget to lock her doors ever again.
